Unexpected Kenya

Kenya is a fascinating country in East Africa, a country rich in history and nature.

For many people Kenya means only one thing: safari, and that’s not entirely wrong considering the country has been a safari destination for over 40 years and there are 50 protected areas with national parks and reserves on Kenyan territory.

During the Trans-African we want to introduce an unusual Kenya by giving space to both safaris and populations.

Amboseli National Park is absolutely unmissable due to the fantastic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the large population of incredibly tusked elephants.

Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, is the only capital in the world that can boast a national park just 7 kilometers from the city center.

On the borders of Nairobi National Park you can visit important centers for the conservation of animals: the elephant orphanage of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and the Giraffe Center, a sanctuary for the care of Rothschild giraffes.

Kenya is characterized by the Great Rift Valley which cuts through the country in all its length and which gives life to numerous lakes that have taken on a fundamental role in people’s lives and have created unique habitats for the country’s wildlife.

There is something about safari that makes you forget all your pain and makes you feel as if you have drunk half a bottle of bubbly champagne with sincere gratitude for being alive

Lake Turkana is an absolute gem, it is the largest desert lake in the world and some populations still live on its shores who still live following a traditional lifestyle such as the Turkana famous for the countless necklaces and accessories they wear.
